It's the Weekend

Not only is it finally the weekend but it is almost 70 degrees out here! I don't even need a jacket. It is so nice and pretty out. AND on top of that I am going on a roadtrip tonight with my lovely bestfriends (minus one) to Ashville, North Carolina. To visit the beach and see Bassnectar. I am so excited but will miss my pouty boy so bad :(

HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND!
I can't wait to post all the pictures when I'm back on Monday.

These Are A Few of My Favorite Things: Part One

We move out very soon, it is all happening really fast. I am so excited. We are having one last party on the 26th and then the 27th is moving day. So I've been going through things around the house and today I wanted to share a few of my favorite things I've collected over the years.

This year my brother and law Wally made me this awesome stencil. Trey has one as well. I think it is so fun and adorable.

My little Cat box from Urban outfitters, I found this gem for 2 dollars!

My white shelves holding things that are so dear to me on them. The top shelf has an owl that I thrifted at Goodwill when I was 16 for 60 cents. This is one of my favorite things that I own. In the box to the right there is a skull, my dad got this when he was in the army and gave it to me when I moved out. I love it so much The bottom shelf holds one of my many sets of russian stacking dolls. I love this one so much though because I bought it at the market in Australia for 5 dollars. On the left hand side I have a cat and a little fawn. My grandpa gave me both of these when I was really little. He was quite the collector , he's passed away now so it's a good memory.

These stacking dolls are my favorite ones. My mom gave them to me this year for Christmas. She is so thoughtful and I love her so much.

This lamp is the greatest thing ever. I found it at a goodwill and loved it so much. I didn't have any money on me at the time and Trey said he didn't either. Turns out the next day he picks me up and its sitting in the back of his car waiting for me. He surprised me with it. I was like 15 then, so romantic.

This is my current couch. I love it so much and got it for $25!! Although it isn't the most comfortable to sit on it sure looks good in a house. I'm selling it before we move into our new house to upgrade to something a little more cozy.

This is just part one of my favorite things. I think I may start doing Wednesdays post about my favorite things. How fun!

Valentines Day

My Valentines day in photos:

I surprised my boy with some peach champagne and some chocolate covered strawberries! This was my first time having a significant other on Valentines day. Trey and I had been together for 4 years but we were always on breaks around this time! So I was so happy to have someone to surprise and cater too.

I woke up that morning to my mirror covered in post it notes saying all the reason he loves me, so romantic. And there was a little monster he bought for me. He said since he is going to third shift soon he wanted someone there to protect me. Swoon :)

We had dinner at B&D's Mongolian grill. You get to pick all of your own meat and noodles out and they cook in front of you. It's so delicious. Then we saw a movie together. It was such a great night....
BUT TODAY WAS EVEN BETTER BECAUSE WE PAID OUR DEPOSIT ON THIS APARTMENT. I couldn't be happier and I can't wait to post more pictures. It is literally everything I've ever wanted.
How was your Valentines day?

Day off!

Yesterday on my day off I still had to wake up early and go apartment shopping. We looked through so many, some were really sketchy and some were nice. I got word about the one that we loved, someone bought it on saturday. So my spirits were down. But I've been keeping my head up I think I found one that I like just as much. It happens to also be in a nicer area of Cincinnati.

Trey and I took a trip to Panera yesterday. I got a cornbread muffin. The best comfort food with some lemonade. Afterward we went home and I was out cold. I slept for 5 hours! It was much needed. When I woke up I spent all night watching Dexter. If you haven't watched it you should. It's my new addiction. Its about a serial killer who only kills other murderers and you can't help but love him.

I'm back to work tonight to close. It feels nice to be back. I thought I'd include some photos of where I spend most of my time making yummy drinks for others. We also sell these adorable organic cupcakes.

I don't know if its the weather here right now but its making me feel kinda sad.
Which is odd because today I got news that Trey is getting hired on so our income will be much higher which is very exciting.

I've gotta head back to work, have a nice night :)

Wolves In the Garden

I've been absent way too long because all I do currently is work, boo!
The weather here in Cincinnati has been absolutely bizarre. Somedays it is freezing and the next it feels good enough just to wear a light jacket. All that I know is, I am so ready for summertime.
An Update on things that I'm excited about: First, George Clooney is filming a movie with Ryan freaking Gosling minutes from my house in Cincinnati! They needed to cast some extras and I sent my photo in so I am hoping that I get picked. Second of all my landlord recently had some family matters that he is attending to and asked us if he could move back into the house that we are living in right now. This is good news to us because we are paying alot of money to rent here and we wanted something a little cheaper so that we can start saving to buy our first home. So, we have been house searching and we found a place that we fell in love with, we are currently waiting to hear if we got. It's above the cutest coffee shop ever. It will also be the first time that Trey and I live alone together. We are all about community living so we've always had roommates, until now! And I'm so excited to see what it is like to just be the two of us.

I'm gonna post some pictures of all the new clothes that I have gotten lately.
This tank top included is one of them. (This outfit is perfect for summer. I couldn't wait though.)
I'm feeling good right now. How is everyone?

Ps- Ickarus is back from the vet and he is doing great!

Lazy Days

Since I work in two different coffee shops my alarm clock always has to be set to 6 am. I am exhausted after weeks of this, so Ickarus (the kitten) and I haven't left my bed since I got off of work today. Tomorrow is a really big day for Ick..He has to get fixed :( which means that he has to stay over night at the vets office and I am so sad about it.

Yesterday Trey and I got to talking about it and we were thinking about what kind of business we would like to own hypothetically if we were going to own one. We would want it down here in the city because we want it to be a place where college students could come and gather at all hours of the night. We decided on a 24 hour donut shop right in the strip of downtown Clifton. We wanted it to be edgy and kinda targeted at a more alternative audience. We both laughed about it but now I can't stop thinking about it. Originally I wanted to go to school for pastry arts and now I'm starting to think it wouldn't be a bad idea!

Ooooh my wheels are turning haha.

Do you watch Modern Family?
I am in love with it! Phil and Claire's relationship reminds me so much of Trey and I. It is the best show ever and I recommend it to everyone.
