Missed my Blog

So in between getting my new apartment unpacked and working all the time I haven't much time for anything especially blogging. And I kinda missed it. Trey and I are doing really well. Actually everything is going really good. Except the weather here has been so crazy. Snowing one day, then warm enough to wear a dress the next. I'm just going to make this update about my awesome saturday with Trey!

We started our date off with going to the conservatory in this beautiful park we have here. They have the prettiest plants, but my favorite part is the cactus room. In one of the buildings they had all those beautiful origami butterflies and paper cranes. It was so nice out too.

Afterward we went and had mexican food and then we saw Blue Valentine. I loved the movie even though it made me cry my eyes out. And we ended the night at a coffee shop across the street from the theater. It was so pretty and we split a teapot of peppermint tea.

How was your weekend?

Last Night on Klotter

Over the weekend Trey and I had one last party at our old house before we moved into the new place. I put on one of my new dresses. It was bittersweet. I'm gonna miss the view from our old bedroom, but I am in love with my new house and I feel so much more at home than I ever have. Its crazy because this is the first time that I have ever just had one roommate and it is my husband! It is such a nice feeling to just be alone with him and cook our meals in our cozy little kitchen.

Since we were moving I couldn't find my computer charger and we didn't have internet. But now I'm back! And happier than ever. I can't wait to post photos of the new place once I'm done un-packing.
Yesterday I went thrifting and found so many sweet finds. I can't wait to share!

Sorry It took So long

My Trip to Asheville was wonderful. It was such a cute town. We walked around, shopped (mostly window shopping since none of us had money.) We literally just laughed the entire time.

I haven't been able to blog lately because I've been in the midst of moving into my new apartment!!! Which I am absolutely in love with.

One Step at a Time

I am back from Asheville, North Carolina but I'm going to do a separate post about my trip, which was so much fun!

I am going through a big change right now. I know in my post about the new year I said that I was trying to give up eating meat. January and Febuary were a struggle for me. I would go weeks without eating it and then I would fall short of my commitment. I really want to give up meat because I hate the way it makes me feel. I feel so heavy and gross afterward, and on top of that my stomach is so sensitive that typically if I eat meat that is even slightly greasy I get sick. SO, I'm not doing anymore and I think that blogging my meals and how I'm doing with the change will really help me.

Today I also got the book Skinny Bitch today. So far it has made me feel terrible about the way that I was eating before. And it is so helpful. I gained alot of weight last year when I got married and was planning the wedding. I was constantly stress eating and I was just very comfortable with Trey and started letting myself go. This is my way of getting back to my old healthy size that I felt good about.

Any who I just wanted to share where I was at with it and start posting more about this journey that I am on! Today at panera I had a salad and vegetarian soup. It was so delicious.

It's the Weekend

Not only is it finally the weekend but it is almost 70 degrees out here! I don't even need a jacket. It is so nice and pretty out. AND on top of that I am going on a roadtrip tonight with my lovely bestfriends (minus one) to Ashville, North Carolina. To visit the beach and see Bassnectar. I am so excited but will miss my pouty boy so bad :(

HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND!
I can't wait to post all the pictures when I'm back on Monday.

These Are A Few of My Favorite Things: Part One

We move out very soon, it is all happening really fast. I am so excited. We are having one last party on the 26th and then the 27th is moving day. So I've been going through things around the house and today I wanted to share a few of my favorite things I've collected over the years.

This year my brother and law Wally made me this awesome stencil. Trey has one as well. I think it is so fun and adorable.

My little Cat box from Urban outfitters, I found this gem for 2 dollars!

My white shelves holding things that are so dear to me on them. The top shelf has an owl that I thrifted at Goodwill when I was 16 for 60 cents. This is one of my favorite things that I own. In the box to the right there is a skull, my dad got this when he was in the army and gave it to me when I moved out. I love it so much The bottom shelf holds one of my many sets of russian stacking dolls. I love this one so much though because I bought it at the market in Australia for 5 dollars. On the left hand side I have a cat and a little fawn. My grandpa gave me both of these when I was really little. He was quite the collector , he's passed away now so it's a good memory.

These stacking dolls are my favorite ones. My mom gave them to me this year for Christmas. She is so thoughtful and I love her so much.

This lamp is the greatest thing ever. I found it at a goodwill and loved it so much. I didn't have any money on me at the time and Trey said he didn't either. Turns out the next day he picks me up and its sitting in the back of his car waiting for me. He surprised me with it. I was like 15 then, so romantic.

This is my current couch. I love it so much and got it for $25!! Although it isn't the most comfortable to sit on it sure looks good in a house. I'm selling it before we move into our new house to upgrade to something a little more cozy.

This is just part one of my favorite things. I think I may start doing Wednesdays post about my favorite things. How fun!

Valentines Day

My Valentines day in photos:

I surprised my boy with some peach champagne and some chocolate covered strawberries! This was my first time having a significant other on Valentines day. Trey and I had been together for 4 years but we were always on breaks around this time! So I was so happy to have someone to surprise and cater too.

I woke up that morning to my mirror covered in post it notes saying all the reason he loves me, so romantic. And there was a little monster he bought for me. He said since he is going to third shift soon he wanted someone there to protect me. Swoon :)

We had dinner at B&D's Mongolian grill. You get to pick all of your own meat and noodles out and they cook in front of you. It's so delicious. Then we saw a movie together. It was such a great night....
BUT TODAY WAS EVEN BETTER BECAUSE WE PAID OUR DEPOSIT ON THIS APARTMENT. I couldn't be happier and I can't wait to post more pictures. It is literally everything I've ever wanted.
How was your Valentines day?
